Project 3: I made boots!

Can words even express how exciting this is? I just made boots! They’re cozy and warm on my feet like a great pair of socks. I may live in these for the rest of the winter.

Once I got up the nerve to cut the sweater the boots came together really quickly. The ribbing ended up not being a problem at all. I just pinned up the sleeves and sewed new seams, and they draped around the shoe and my legs just fine. My old comfy shoes are in there and have been given new life instead of being relegated to the trash.

Tonight I’ll cut the sweater again to make cuffs and embroider a design on them, so watch for an update about that tomorrow. These boots will soon be finished!
