Project 25: First quilting day

It is amazing what 7 hours of uninterrupted sewing time can do. I can’t believe I got all of this done yesterday! I’m sure it doesn’t even take a seasoned quilter’s eye to spot a myriad of mistakes, but it’s my first and I love it so far.
Today I hope to add the border and get back to the store to buy the batting. I won’t have another stretch of time like yesterday so I don’t want to make any predictions about when it will be done, but I’m feeling optimistic that it won’t be as long as I thought.

It looks like a good start! I like the fabric a lot.
From my experiences with machine quilting, I would recommend trying it out on some scrap fabric with batting in between before actually doing any on the quilt itself.
Are you kidding me?? How in the world did you knock out such a gorgeous top SO FAST? It is amazing, Amber—-I can’t wait to see it in person! Congratulation! How’s the thumb?
